THE WINEMAKER: Clos Fantine is a small family project from the South of France in the Faugères AOC. Siblings Caroline, Olivier, and Corine took over the vineyard from their father, who took over for his mother. They switched their vines from being wire trained to bush vines, which grow more wild and low to the ground and are better for the wind and sun of their climate. They grow Mourvèdre, Grenache, Terret Blanc and Gris, Cinsault, Syrah, and Aramont, a rare grape that has been on their property since 1915!
