THE WINEMAKER: Weingut Heinrich is a vineyard that did the brave and unthinkable. They were a large scale conventional winemaking company, featured in every restaurant, grocery store and wine shop in most of Europe. As their owners started to learn more about natural wine, they realized the vital importance of better farming practices for their land and our bodies. They took a HUGE financial risk and stopped production on their vineyard to convert all of their farming and cellar practices to natural ways. This is the future. This is what larger conventional wineries will have to do if they want to survive in a world that is demanding more ethical practices both for the land, the people who farm the land, and for ourselves. Yes that will mean short term financial loss, but the future of our planet, species, and wine depend on it. We applaud Weingut Heinrich and are honored to share their new natural wines with you. We only hope to see more of this change here in the US as well.
